What we did...

... engage golfers away from the course. Put simply Golf GameBook is the app every golfer in northern Europe can’t do without as it combines scoring with social media. In Finland, where there are 140,000 golfers, it has 115,000 of them registered with Golf GameBook. To meet a need for engagement beyond the golf course and to generate revenue, we created Golf Society, a new content platform telling stories aimed at the golf audience. The digital platform was piloted in Finland using a Sporting Eric-designed bespoke build to meet the specific requirements of this market.

Our content considered the audience beyond the golf course, weaving together golf, travel, food, tech and celebrity for maximum engagement. And it duly delivered, gaining 60,233 unique visitors – capturing almost half the entire golf audience in Finland. It also played a key role in the larger Golf GameBook strategy, helping to generate revenue through third parties and also acting as a source of content to feed into other digital channels.
