MCC
Membership magazine

What we did...

... engage with classic cricket storytelling. Sporting Eric relaunched the members’ magazine of the most iconic cricket club in the world, increasing engagement and advertising revenue. The print magazine was a lynchpin of member communication for an audience demographic with an average age of 57, so it was key to stay true to the values of the prestigious brand, but increase engagement and revenue generation. We achieved both goals with improved storytelling, both in terms of the visual design narrative and the stories themselves, and also engaging the reader more by creating content that could be used for other platforms and PR, including ‘greatest MCC moments’.

“We’ve been delighted by the positive response we’ve had from readers to our magazines with Sporting Eric. On the first day it arrived I received phone calls from Members expressing their delight with the new magazine. The last of them said he was ‘captivated’ by it (especially the piece on the 1983 final). The design and feel of the magazine is first-class and the whole process of putting the issue together was very straightforward. Working with Sporting Eric is a very enjoyable and productive experience.”
