Sporting Eric goes global for Cigna health campaign

Pulling together Fijian rugby players in Seattle, golf-mad Brits in Spain,  Japanese yoga-lovers in Paris and Australian roller derby skaters in Vancouver, Sporting Eric uniquely delivered Cigna Healthcare’s key message of being healthy expats.

Sporting Eric delivered multi-platform content for health solutions provider Cigna Healthcare’s recent global campaign.

The campaign – centred around popular expat destinations: France, Spain, USA and Canada –  featured real-life expats sharing their knowledge of the local health and well-being offering oftheir adopted home countries.

Delivering 184.5 million impressions, 500k+ clicks, 14k landing page views from social and 7million video views, the successful content-driven campaign covered everything from what number to dial in an emergency to the best sport and well-being activities in each area.

Sporting Eric sourced the real-life expats and then created a series of videos with each, together with photography to fuel the entire campaign. “We’re so proud of our expats, they truly represented expat life in a relatable way, which is exactly what we needed to convey for Cigna Healthcare – the brand genuinely understands the challenges of expat life,” explains Alex Mead, managing director, Sporting Eric. “Even beyond the main video content, we uncovered many other sub-stories, such as that of the Fijian community of Seattle and the secrets of longevity among retired Brits in Spain, we really got under the skin of authentic expat life.”

You can view the campaign at the Inside Expat Health hub, home to a wide-range of expat-driven content.

Sporting Eric has been delivering multi-platform sport, health and well-being campaigns for over seven years across a range of clients.
